Responsibilities
- Coordinate warehouse operations, including receiving and stock management, ensuring timely and accurate processing of goods.
- Oversee purchasing activities and manage the sourcing, tendering, and procurement processes to optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations, fostering a proactive culture of safety in all operations.
- Provide audit support and participate in the continuous improvement of warehouse and receiving processes to meet governance standards.
- Manage performance by developing team competencies, clarifying roles and responsibilities, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Liaise with suppliers to track open orders and address discrepancies, ensuring effective resolution of any procurement issues.
- Facilitate communication and engagement with cross-functional teams, promoting knowledge sharing and adherence to best practices.
- Manage inventory, ensuring that stock conservation principles and correct procedures are adhered to in all warehouse processes.
- Execute responsibilities related to risk management and compliance monitoring, reinforcing company policies and standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse and purchasing functions to enhance operational excellence.
Requirements
- N Diploma: Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Procurement (Essential/Minimum)
- B Tech (Relevant) (Recommended/Desirable)
- Certificate in First Line Management (Essential/Minimum)
- 3-5 years of experience in warehousing, supply chain management, and receiving (Essential/Minimum)
- Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
- Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
- Knowledge of MHS Act Regulation 2.9.2 (Essential/Minimum)
- Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for stock and receiving processes
- Strong leadership and performance management abilities
- Experience in managing purchasing activities, including sourcing, RFQs, and tenders
- Commitment to safety, health, and environmental compliance
